Cohen & Company focuses on financial institutions and real estate investment banking and management. Through structured finance vehicles, Cohen & Company has originated over $10 billion of investments in small and mid-cap financial institutions, both public and private. Since 2009, Daniel has also served as CEO and CIO of Institutional Financial Markets, Inc. (NYSE MKT: IFMI), the public holding company for Cohen & Company. Since 2000, Daniel has also been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: TBBK), a $4 billion asset bank in Wilmington, Delaware, which provides commercial and retail banking products and services to small and mid-size businesses and their principals. Prior to founding Cohen & Company and The Bancorp, Daniel served as President of Resource America, Inc. (Nasdaq: REXI), a real estate, leasing and energy investment company. During his tenure at Resource America, Daniel formed Atlas Pipeline Partners, LP (NYSE: APL), a $1.9 billion market cap master limited partnership.

He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Alesco Financial Inc. (NYSE: AFN), a real estate finance company, from 2006 until its merger with IFMI (then known as Cohen & Company, Inc.) in 2009. Jay was a principal in Harron Capital, L.P., a venture capital fund, from 1999 to 2002. From 1990 through 1999, Jay was a stockholder at Lamb McErlane, and from 2000 until 2004 was of counsel to Lamb McErlane. Jay was previously a director of Pegasus Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: PGTV), a provider of communications and other services, and of several other private companies. In addition, since 2000, Jay has been a director of The Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: TBBK), a holding company for The Bancorp Bank, which provides various commercial and retail banking products and services to small and mid-size businesses and their principals in the U.S.

From 2010-2011, Joe was a limited partner and co-head of financial institutions at StormHarbour Securities. From 2008-2010, Joe was the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Fusion Advisory Partners, a boutique investment bank focused on CLO M&A, loan sales, and CDPC commutations. Prior to co-managing Fusion, Joe was CEO and Chairman of a retainer-based financial institutions executive search firm named McCann Partners. He was with several other search firms from 1984-2008. Before becoming a search consultant, Joe worked for Bankers Trust Company and Marine Midland Bank/HSBC in debt capital markets, private placements and lending from 1981-1984. Joe received his BA from Lafayette College in 1975 and his MBA from Dartmouth’s Amos Tuck School in 1981. In addition, he served for two years with the United States Peace Corps in Honduras.

Prior to joining PrinceRidge, John was the co-founder of Regian Capital Advisors, an investment banking advisory boutique. Prior to that, John was a Managing Director at JP Morgan, responsible for its North American mid-corporate M&A business. Before joining JP Morgan, John was a Managing Director in the M&A group at The Blackstone Group. John also worked at Merrill Lynch and Wertheim & Co. He holds a BA in Economics and English from Williams College, an MS in Accounting from NYU’s Stern School of Business and an MBA in Finance from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Prior to that, Lee spent six years at Dresdner Kleinwort, ultimately becoming the global head of the Chemical industry corporate finance practice. Lee began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank. He holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

Prior to joining PrinceRidge in May 2012, he was head of retail investment banking at Morgan Keegan. Prior to joining Morgan Keegan, Mike was an MD in the Consumer & Retail Investment Banking Group at Jefferies. Before joining Jefferies, Mike was with First Union's Capital Markets Group/Wachovia Securities from 1987 and with Connecticut National Bank (ultimately acquired by Fleet Bank/BofA) from 1982.

Mike has spent the vast majority of his career in client management and enjoys broad-based experience with a wide variety of capital markets transactions including mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity and fixed income offerings, syndicated loans, interest rate and currency derivatives, structured asset finance and international trade.

Mike received his BA from the University of Notre Dame and did graduate level work in Accounting.

In the 13 years preceding PrinceRidge, Ric held similar positions with Madison Williams and other affiliates of the Sanders Morris Harris Group in Houston. Prior to that, he was a founding principal and senior officer of an oil field service company and was the senior banker and group manager with other investment banks in New York. Ric holds a BS in Psychology from Fairfield University in Connecticut.

Keith previously served as Chief Strategy Officer and member of the Office of the CEO of TIAA-CREF. From 2004 to 2008 he was President of MasterCard Advisors and a member of the MasterCard Worldwide Operating Committee and Management Council. Earlier in his career, Keith served as Chairman and CEO of St. Louis Bank, FSB, Chairman of Treasury Bank Ltd., and as a director of Severn Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq:SVBI). He has also held senior partner roles with AT Kearney, Capgemini, Ernst & Young and McKinsey & Company after beginning his career with BNY Mellon. He received his AB from Princeton and MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.

David was previously an Executive Director at Cohen & Company Capital Markets and was responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of all public equity offerings including Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs). Prior to that, David was an Investment Banker at Sunrise Securities. He has over 10 years experience advising private and public companies in both equity and debt capital raising solutions. During his career, David has worked on more than $2 billion of equity financings. David received his BS in Finance from Yeshiva University.

Prior to joining PrinceRidge, Renaud served as Interim Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Financial Planning & Analysis at Marvista Entertainment. His previous experience includes two years as a Vice President in Bank of America’s Transportation & Logistics Group and prior to that, nine years with the Industrials Group at Wasserstein Perella/Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. His responsibilities included advising clients on a wide array of transaction types, including traditional mergers & acquisitions, cross-border transactions, takeover defenses, divestitures, spin-offs, public debt financings, goodwill valuations and restructurings. Renaud graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Huntsman Program in International Studies & Business, earning a BS in Economics from The Wharton School and a BA in International Studies from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Prior to joining PrinceRidge, Sophia was a Vice President in the Healthcare corporate and investment banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she focused on originating, structuring and executing M&A and financing transactions for healthcare clients. Sophia began her career as a financial analyst at JPMorgan Chase in the Diversified Industrials investment banking group. Sophia graduated summa cum laude from Lafayette College with a BS in Chemical Engineering and a BA in Economics. She earned an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Prior to joining PrinceRidge, Joe was the former Head of Structured Products at Maxim Group, where he was instrumental in developing and creating the structured products platform. Prior to his involvement in Structured Products, he was Senior Vice President of Fixed Income Sales and Trading at ICAP Securities, with trading responsibility for middle market and institutional accounts. Before joining ICAP, Joe spent the majority of his career at Prudential Securities, most recently as Senior Vice President of corporate bond trading where he managed the corporate bond trading desk for the firm’s retail and institutional accounts. He is a former president (1984-1985) of the Corporate Bond Traders Club of New York, a graduate of the College of Staten Island and is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Steve’s team also developed the firm’s structured finance modeling software. Prior to joining Cohen & Company, from 2003 to 2006, Steve served as Head of Technology and Analytics for the Structured Credit Products Group at Merrill Lynch. Before that, he held a similar position at Credit Suisse First Boston from 1999 to 2003. Prior to heading up analytics and technology efforts, Steve structured and assisted the trading effort for CMOs, CDOs, and other structured finance transactions at Credit Suisse First Boston from 1993 to 1997 and at Chase Securities from 1997 to 1999. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

Previously, Jim served as Senior Managing Director of institutional equity sales & trading with Rodman & Renshaw until May of 2010. Prior to Rodman, Jim held the position of General Partner and Head of Equity Trading at Maxim Group from 2004 to 2009. Jim expanded Maxim’s equity desk from a 6 person desk executing 2 million shares a month to 15 traders executing 300 million shares a month. Jim also was an integral part of growing Maxim’s institutional sales trading desk from 3 sales people to 20 institutional sales traders, which also was one of the catalysts in growing Maxim’s investment banking division. In a four year period Maxim was a lead or in the selling group of approximately 200 underwritings.

Prior to joining PrinceRidge, Mike was co-founder of Regian Capital Advisors, an investment banking advisory boutique. Previously, he was Managing Director and Head of US Leveraged and Acquisition Finance for HSBC. Before joining HSBC, Mike was a Managing Director at JP Morgan Chase, and for over 18 years held a variety of leadership positions including Head of Origination for Global Syndicated Finance and Head of Corporate Finance for Consumer and Healthcare Investment Banking. Mike holds a BS in Finance and Economics from Manhattan College and an MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.

Tom was most recently the Head of Liability Trading at Highland Financial Holdings Group, a relative value fixed income hedge fund. While at Highland, Tom managed the fund’s $15 billion high-grade, investment grade, and sub-prime MBS, ABS and CMBS funding books, and his responsibilities included: trading and structuring all liabilities; hedging the funds interest rate risk; oversight of the trade margining and exposure to counterparties; coordination of trade settlements; cash management and maintaining the trading and credit relationships with the broker dealer community. Tom was also instrumental in the negotiations of the credit terms within all trading agreements. Tom began his career with Morgan Stanley & Co. as an analyst on the municipal bond trading desk in both the NYC and San Francisco offices. He graduated from Lycoming College with a BA in Business Administration and Economics.

Prior to joining PrinceRidge, Plamen served as an Executive Vice President at RAIT Financial Trust, a publicly traded commercial real estate REIT. From April 2003 to February 2006, Plamen held various positions, including that of Vice President and Director, in the structured credit products group at Merrill Lynch, specializing in trust preferred and asset-backed collateralized debt obligations. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Plamen worked in the structured credit groups at Credit Suisse First Boston from January 2001 to March 2003 and Prudential Securities from November 1999 to December 2000. He has been involved in structuring numerous asset classes: equipment leases, home equity loans and other consumer ABS. Plamen holds an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Columbia University and a B.A. in Economics and Physics from Franklin and Marshall College.

Armand was most recently the Head of Fixed Income for Maxim Group, a New York-based broker dealer boutique with over 50 dedicated fixed income professionals. He began his career in the Financial Strategies Group at Prudential Securities, with a primary focus on Mortgage and Asset-Backed related securities. He has also worked as a Vice President in Goldman Sachs’ Principal Finance Group and has held various positions at a number of Investment Banking boutiques specializing in Structured Products and Esoteric Securities. Armand holds a BA from the University of Rhode Island and a Juris Doctor in Law from the City University of New York. He is admitted to the Bar in New Jersey.
